The Collapse of a Dynasty

The Dallas Mavericks swept the Los Angeles Lakers winning the series 4-0 in dominating fashion.  They cam out on fire and never let up to blow out the Lakers.  Jason Terry along with Peja Stojakovic and JJ Barea lead the Dallas bench to hand the Lakers an embarrassing defeat.  As soon as the 3's started raining down in the first half the Lakers seemed to give up.  It got ugly in the second half down more than 25 as Lamar Odom pushed Nowitzki to the floor followed by a devastating elbow from Bynum to Barea in mid-air that left Barea cringing in pain as he hit the floor.  Both Odom and Bynum were instantly thrown out the game and after that the game was virtually over.  Dallas shot lights out the whole game tying a playoff record for 3's made with 23.  The Mavs bench scored 81 and the Lakers as a team scored 84.  This win was a combination of horrible defense by the Lakers and capitalizing on openings by the Mavs.  The final score was 122-86.
